The service

Premium surfaces for working spaces

Commercial interiors have two jobs: impress customers and survive daily use. Microcement, spray granite, Venetian plaster, limewash and Italian designer paints let you create a distinctive space that also stands up to traffic and cleaning.

Allan is a fully approved Cimentart microcement applicator and a fully approved Infinity Effects spray granite applicator, with £3 million public liability insurance. Microcement can be applied over almost any sound existing surface, including tiles, which can reduce strip-out work and time closed.

Allan Anderson owns the business and carries out every installation himself, tying in with trusted plumbers and joiners on fit-outs.

Who it's for

Salons, restaurants, cafés, bars, retail units, offices, gyms and holiday lets across West and Central Scotland.

When it's needed

During fit-outs, refurbishments, rebrands, or when tired surfaces are hurting first impressions.

Why use a specialist

Commercial surfaces see heavy use. Approved systems, correct sealing and insurance protect your investment.

What it costs to wait

Tired interiors cost you customers

Customers judge a business in seconds. Stained grout, chipped surfaces and dated décor send the wrong message before anyone speaks.

Weaker first impressions

Dated or worn interiors make a business look less professional than it is.

Harder cleaning routines

Grout lines and joints trap dirt, adding time to every clean.

Longer closures later

Leaving surfaces too long can mean bigger, more disruptive refurbishments.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • × Choosing an uninsured or unapproved applicator for a commercial job.
  • × Stripping sound surfaces when they could act as a base.
  • × Not planning work around opening hours.
  • × Choosing finishes without considering traffic and cleaning products.
  • × Using a decorative finish not suited to the area's use.

In detail

Commercial finishes in detail

Which finishes suit which commercial spaces, and how projects are planned across Glasgow and West and Central Scotland.

Microcement for floors, washrooms and counters

Joint-free microcement suits shop floors, salon floors, café counters, bar fronts and washrooms. With no grout lines, cleaning is faster and the surface keeps a premium look.

Spray granite for exteriors and durable surfaces

Spray granite gives commercial properties the look of natural stone, applied by an approved Infinity Effects applicator and backed by a 10-year guarantee.

Venetian plaster, limewash and metallic paints

Feature walls in receptions, restaurants and bars create a crafted, memorable backdrop. Finishes include black Vesuvio Venetian plaster with gold accents and Copper Sharki / Eastern Wind metallic paint.

Planning around your business

Scheduling is agreed at the site visit so work fits around trading where possible. Working hours are Monday to Friday 7:30am–5pm and Saturday 8am–12pm.

Sectors served

Hospitality, retail, beauty, offices, gyms and short-term lets across Glasgow, Paisley, East Kilbride, Hamilton, Motherwell, Kilmarnock, Ayr and Stirling.

Choosing finishes for each area

Most commercial spaces benefit from different finishes in different zones. Floors and washrooms need hard-wearing, easy-clean surfaces such as microcement. Customer-facing feature walls can carry more expressive finishes such as Venetian plaster or metallic paints. External surfaces may suit spray granite, backed by its 10-year guarantee.

At the site visit, Allan walks the space with you, discusses how staff and customers use each area, and recommends a finish for each one. Samples are reviewed in your actual premises and lighting, and the agreed specification and schedule are set out clearly in your written quote.

Working with Glasgow Microcement

What to expectfrom first call to handover

Glasgow Microcement LTD is owned and run by Allan Anderson, a specialist applicator of decorative finishes. There is no sales team and no subcontracting of the finish itself: the person who visits your property, measures up and talks through samples is the same person who applies your commercial finishes finish.

Allan is a fully approved Cimentart microcement applicator and a fully approved Infinity Effects spray granite applicator. Approval means the materials are applied the way the manufacturer intends: preparation, layering and protection all follow the system rather than shortcuts.

When a project needs more than a finish, such as a new shower, a moved sink, trimmed doors or boxed-in pipework, Allan ties in directly with trusted plumbers and joiners. You get one point of contact who plans the order of work, so trades are not left waiting on each other and nothing falls between the gaps.

Free, no-obligation site visit

Allan comes to your home or premises, checks the existing surfaces and explains honestly what is and is not suitable before any quote is agreed.
